Roll On By 03:53
Say hello to the World, people rushing all around, busy in their day-to-day scene. Looking round at everything, the homeless man, the would-be king, hard to think it's not some crazy dream. The lives we lead are all so full, of friends of friends of staying cool, never with the chance to say: 'Hello to you, do I know you? Let's make it that I do know you, before we have to roll on by'... Roll on By..... Roll on By. Never stop to think about, the lives we never knew about, I wonder what makes them laugh and cry... Say hello to my new friend, we met and then we met again, we shared a little space and time. I don't recall what you are called, in fact I don't remember you at all, once more, tell me your name I'll tell you mine. Maybe we can start again, or maybe we should both pretend, to know the things that we don't know. And I'll give a thought, for a little while, to all the times I've shared a smile, with people who just roll on by... Roll on By..... Roll on By. Never stop to think about, the lives we never knew about, I wonder what makes them laugh and cry... Say hello. To the World. Never stop. Thinking about.... Roll on By..... Roll on By. Never stop to think about, the lives we never knew about, I wonder what makes them laugh and cry... (c) and (p) Graham McLeod 2016

It's a one way street that leads to Paradise, and only you know the way to go. If I follow you and take all your advice, Maybe one day soon I too will know. I sometimes dream I'm there I'm, in the promised land, even a case of simple happiness. Temptations run high, chances pass by. If this is not my time, I'll pay the price. Another lonely day spent dreamin'. Inside my head there's a screamin'. Passes in a moment and I'm breathin'. One day I'll try.... To let myself go. It's a one way street that leads to Paradise, down a lot of broken corridors. If I can't explain to you my points of view, maybe I can follow you no more. Thinking back to when we stood there hand in hand, I found I had to put my trust in you. And if I want to get there to the promised land, trust is what I need to do. Another lonely day spent dreamin'. Inside my head there's a screamin'. Passes in a moment and I'm breathin'. One day I'll try. Another lonely day spent dreamin'. Inside my head there's a screamin'. Passes in a moment and I'm breathin'. One day I'll try.... To let myself go. (c) and (p) Graham McLeod 2016

Love Songs 02:48
You see I got this problem with a little thing called Love, I tried talking to all my friends and even God above. But none of them don't seem to care when they find out what's wrong, the problem is I just can't stop, writing crap love songs... You got verse one, you're telling how it begun, some girl, you're thinking 'she's the one'. So you're thinking about her all day, and you just can't find a way, to tell her 'how you really feel', she probably thinks you're gay... You see I got this problem with a little thing called Love, I tried talking to all my friends and even God above. But none of them don't seem to care when they find out what's wrong, the problem is I just can't stop, writing crap love songs... Then you got verse two, now you're trying to be true, couple of bad metaphors, you're onto something new. It's a winner every time, to come up with a line, that utilises eighteen words when three would have done just fine... You see I got this problem with a little thing called Love, I tried talking to all my friends and even God above. But none of them don't seem to care when they find out what's wrong, the problem is I just can't stop, writing crap love songs... And then you've got the middle eight... It's rarely just eight and it's often late... You'll find that it's never worth the wait... ...Might as well reach down and..... celebrate.... By this time the strings are in and nothing's been left unsaid, I've opened up my heart, I've left my dignity for dead, I've told a lot of secrets, I've told a lot of lies, what more can I possibly say about her fucking eyes? You see I got this problem with a little thing called Love, I tried talking to all my friends and even God above. But none of them don't seem to care when they find out what's wrong, the problem is I just can't stop.... (c) and (p) Graham McLeod 2016

Postman's knocking on my door, is it just me or wasn't he here before? Like a couple of hours ago or three or twenty four, can't keep track of time no more. Guess I'm rising from my bed, or maybe I'll stay in here instead. What have I got that's left to lose? All I gotta do is hit the snooze.... I wanna... Sleep for a week, ain't had nothing to eat, and I'm tired and I'm cold, I feel so old, I wanna Sleep for a week, don't want no-one around, I don't even wanna hear no sound.... Staring out my office window, and that rain is coming on down. Thoughts drift back into my pillow, swap this shirt for a dressing gown. Pinch myself make sure I'm here, marks and bruises show that I am. I'm falling asleep halfway through an idea.... I wanna... Sleep for a week, ain't had nothing to eat, and I'm tired and I'm cold, I feel so old, I wanna Sleep for a week, don't want no-one around, I don't even wanna hear no sound.... Goodnight, now I'm falling... away.... (c) and (p) Graham McLeod 2016

about

All songs written and arranged by Graham McLeod, with input from the fantastic musicians I've been lucky enough to work with. Less of an EP and more of a collection of songs that happened to be 'ready to record' around the same sort of time. Debut release in this guise. Track 3 'Love Songs' contains explicit language. Don't say I didn't warn you.
